The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office shut down three separate methamphetamine operations over the weekend, according to a report.

On Saturday, deputies and detectives with the Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force executed a search warrant at 296 SE Scarlett Way, Lake City. They found items and chemicals commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine, the report states.

Raymond Lee Chandler, 46, was found hiding in a shed on the property. More chemicals and drug paraphernalia were found in the shed, the report noted. Deborah Ann Lee, 46, was also arrested at the house.

Chandler and Lee were arrested on charges of possession of listed chemicals, possession of methamphetamine and manufacture of methamphetamine

Bond for each was set at $51,000.

Also on Saturday, Deputy Joshua Latimer conducted a traffic stop for an expired tag on a car. Inside the car, he found a backpack containing materials to produce methamphetamine, according to an arrest report.

Keith David Wheeldon, 32, of Lake City, was arrested on charges of possession of listed chemicals and manufacture of methamphetamine. He was being held at the Columbia County jail in lieu of a $60,000 bond.

Wheeldon had been released from the Columbia County Detention Facility in February on a bond stemming from an arrest in December 2012 for allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine.

On Sunday, deputies found a meth lab at the Columbia Motel on East Duval Street. The adjoining rooms of the motel were evacuated, and the Columbia County Fire Department responded. Deputies wore special breathing equipment as they removed dangerous chemicals.

Misty Dawn Lane-Alyousef, 41, of Lake Butler, and Jason Gibbs, 37, of Astatula, were arrested on charges of possession of listed chemicals, possession of methamphetamine, manufacture of methamphetamine, and trafficking methamphetamine

Lane-Alyousef’s bond was set at $180,000; bond for Gibbs was set at $255,500.

Gibbs had an active arrest warrant from Lake County on methamphetamine charges.
