Five questions with Tennessee junior guard Jordan McRae
Q: What's the transition been like from being a sixth man as a sophomore to starting this year?
A: Coach (Cuonzo) Martin just felt I needed to be in the game a little bit more, some of the things I was doing from being the sixth man. So I just felt like it was an easy transition for me. My teammates helped me out a lot with that.
Q: Offensively, how do you feel like your game has evolved in college?
A: I'm just being a lot more patient on offense. I'm letting the game come to me more, instead of trying to force shots.
Q: You and (Tennessee point guard) Trae Golden have been playing together since high school on different travel teams. What kind of chemistry do you have, and how does that affect you on the court?
A: It helps me out a lot, knowing when he's going to pass to me, where his shots are coming from. Just knowing someone like that, it's always good to have on your team.
Q: What's your favorite NBA team and favorite NBA player?
A: Favorite NBA player is Carmelo (Anthony), team the (Miami) Heat, just (because) I like how they are energetic, just fun to watch.
Q: What's it like playing for Cuonzo Martin?
A: It's really easy playing for him. He's a really easy coach to play for. As long as you're just playing hard and playing defense, he doesn't really say anything.
