The Creole Choir of Cuba, an ensemble formed in 1994 to celebrate their Haitian ancestors who were brought to the Caribbean from West Africa, perform traditional and original songs in Creole (a mix of Spanish, English and West African languages) and Spanish on Tuesday at the Phillips Center.

MUSIC

The trio MiXt, featuring clarinetist José Franch-Ballester, violinist Bella Hristova and pianist Ran Dank, performs works ranging from Béla Bartók's Contrasts for Clarinet, Violin and Piano to Franz Schubert's Rondo in B minor for Violin and Piano on Wednesday at the Phillips Center's Squitieri Studio Theatre.

The Japanese drum ensemble Kodo brings its “One Earth Tour 2013: Legend” — complete with large taiko drums — to the Phillips Center for a performance on Thursday.
