Kangaroo store robbed at knifepoint

A northwest Gainesville convenience store was robbed by a man with a knife late Thursday night, police reported.
The robbery occurred at 11:41 p.m. at the Kangaroo store at 4221 NW 16th Blvd.
A man got a 12-pack of Bud Light and took it to the counter. He pulled a black-handled pocket knife on the clerk and demanded money.
He left the store in a southeast direction with an undisclosed amount of cash and the beer, according to the Gainesville Police Department.
The culprit was described as a 6-foot-1, 150-pound white man. He was estimated to be 30 years old and had blond hair that was graying.
