Forecast: Warmer but chance of rain

Today will be warmer but cloudier with partly sunny skies and a chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service.

The high is set to reach 75 degrees. However, a 20 percent chance of rain will arise in the late afternoon and continue through the night.

National Weather Service forecast for Gainesville

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 3 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 75. Breezy, with a light south wind becoming southwest 13 to 18 mph in the morning.

Tuesday night: A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 3 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph becoming north after midnight.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 68. North wind 6 to 10 mph.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 39. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. East wind 3 to 7 mph.

Thursday night: A 20 percent chance of showers after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 79.
