A rea basketball player I would pay to watch: Isaiah Jackson (of Gainesville). I love to watch him dunk. I love the way he plays. You can tell he is ready for college.
B est round of golf was when ... Last round of state at Harbour Hills. I finished in the top 10 overall.
Note: Thomas was a first-team all-area golfer her senior and sophomore years.

F avorite gift or candy for Valentine's Day? Chocolate and a (teddy) bear.
G ame-winning 3-pointer, drive to the basket or delivering a nice pass that leads to the winning basket? Definitely a no-looksie ... a no-look pass. That is what I really feed off from. I will look to pass before I score.
Note: Thomas recently scored a career-high 50 points in a rout over Tallahassee Chiles at the district tournament.
H appiest day in my life was when ... I got nominated for McDonald's All-American.

I nteresting thing about me away from basketball: I do play golf, and I oil paint.

K obe Bryant or LeBron James? I like them both, but I would choose Kobe. He is just a veteran of the game. I feel like LeBron is a great athlete, but as far as a student of the game, Kobe is that person to go to.
L osing two straight state semifinals has been ... Definitely been a learning experience for us, a growing experience. We took it the first year (2011) and used it as motivation. Same thing this year, makes us that much more hungrier. Just to get past that stage. The first year, we stepped in and we got our taste. The next year we thought we had it, but it was definitely a learning experience.
M iami was the best choice for me because ... Definitely a home away from home. They are definitely a winning program, with the staff and players. It is a great environment ... to grow from as person as well.
N ickname? People in Miami call me JT, everyone from here calls me Jiit. Growing up I was always the youngest one hanging around the older people. It was just a name that stuck.
O ne person in my life who inspires me most: My family, mom (Larone) and dad (Tara); and brothers, Lamar, Darren and Eric.
Note: Oldest brother Lamar Thomas was a four-sport letterman at Buchholz and first-team all-state in football and basketball his senior year (1987); wide receiver at Miami and part of Hurricanes' national title teams in 1989 and 1991; played in NFL with the Bucs and Dolphins.

W hat area players would I want to see in a four-person one-on-one tournament and how would it go? Jazlynd Rollins (Buchholz) would beat Marissa Lee (Gainesville) 11-7; I would beat Kayla Lovett (Gainesville) 11-10; I would beat Jaz 11-10.
X box, PlayStation or Wii? Wii. I like the bowling game.
