Four Lake City residents were injured, one critically, early Sunday morning when a car they were driving in lost control and spun out on County Road 252, according to a report. One other passenger were unhurt.
Bo J. Daniels, 18, Jonathan Reynolds, 23, and Colton Coon, 18, Jessica Park, 19, and Lamar Lyons, 25, were in a 2007 Dodge Caliber heading east on the highway when it went off the east shoulder near SW Birley Avenue, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
Daniels over-corrected and the vehicle crossed the westbound lane and hit a driveway culvert before going onto a lawn and hitting a large stump.
Park was taken to Shands at the University of Florida in critical condition; Daniels and Coon also were both taken to Shands. Reynolds was treated for minor injuries, and Lyons was uninjured, the report noted.
None of those injured were wearing seatbelts, according to the report.
