Things to look out for this week in SEC basketball.
Alabama has won four straight, re-energizing its hopes for a potential NCAA Tournament bid. But the Tide face a tough road test against a desperate Tennessee team that's trying to get back on the bubble. Alabama beat Tennessee 68-65 at home earlier this season, so the Vols will be looking for payback at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Arkansas is gearing up for a track meet Saturday at South Carolina. Both teams like to push the ball upcourt and press, so expect the game to go up and down the court all afternoon. The Hogs are still searching for their first SEC road win of the season.
After a 31-point loss at Florida, Missouri will play the second of two home games this week, hosting Vanderbilt. The home stretch came at the right time for the Tigers, who are still without leading scorer Laurence Bowers (knee injury). The Kansas City Star reported Bowers may be back for Saturday's game against the Commodores.
