Man used computer to seek sex with child, deputies say

A Gainesville man was arrested early Friday morning on charges related to using a computer to solicit sex with a child, according to an arrest report.

Benjamin Wade Parker, 23, of 4117 SW 20th Ave., Apt. 86, was charged with misrepresenting his age when using a computer to lure a child, using a computer to lure a child, traveling to meet a child for sex after using a computer, transmitting harmful information to a child and using a two-way device to facilitate a felony, the report states.

The arrest report by the Alachua County Sheriff's Office does not give the circumstances of the arrest and spokesman Art Forgey said no other information would be given at this point.
