The speaker will be Dr. Detroit Williams, pastor of Williams Temple Church of God in Christ in Gainesville. There also will be performances by choirs from Williams Temple and Westside Church of God in Christ in Alachua.
Also, the recipient of the Aaron S. Young Sr. Dream Builders Scholarship will be recognized.

Spirit of Faith Christian Center will host Financial Peace University.
The eight-week course will be held at 6 p.m. on Sundays beginning Feb. 10 at the Spirit of Faith East Campus at 1414 NE 23rd Ave. The cost is $100, and the deadline to register is Feb. 3.
The 90-minute sessions will include video presentations featuring David Ramsey, founder of Financial Peace, and small group discussions focusing on living debt free, developing a savings plan and building wealth.

New Horizon Outreach Ministries will host a domestic violence seminar.
It will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the church at 127 NE 15th St. The free seminar is for clergy and lay leaders who want to get certified to use the Faith Community Domestic Violence Risk Assessment. Food and drinks will be served.
The seminar will be led by Tracey Hickmon, coordinator of the Empowered to Live the Life You Choose Rebuilding Program at the Gainesville Police Department for victims of domestic abuse.
Topics covered will include understanding domestic violence power and control issues and the consequences of failing to protect children from domestic violence.

New Bibleway Baptist Church will host a Dual Day program.
It will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 27 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 2611 NW 68th Ave., where New Bibleway has its services.

Greater Bell United Methodist Church will celebrate the birthday of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a Commemorative Praise Breakfast.

The theme is "What are you doing for Others?"
Third Bethel Baptist Church will host its annual Pew Rally.

The speaker will be the Rev. Larry McReynolds of Grace Temple Church of the Living God in Floral City.
The Pastor's Care Committee at Antioch Baptist Church will host a prayer breakfast.
It will be held at 9 a.m. Jan. 26 at the church in Fort White. Tickets will be $10 per person and $5 for children 5 and under.

St. Paul Baptist Church will host an Expression of Love program for Doris Livingston.

Galilee Baptist Church will host its annual Men's Day observance.
Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday at the church in Hawthorne.
The guest speakers will be: Friday, the Rev. Clarence Woods of Trinity United Baptist Church in McMeekin in Putnam County, and Sunday, the Rev. Martin Smith of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Ocala.
