JERSEY NUMBER: 34
WEIGHT: 330 pounds
A rea basketball player I would pay to watch play: Isaiah Jackson of GHS. I like his game, he is real smooth. He is real low key. He can drop 30 (points), and you don't even know.
B est movie I've ever seen?: “Bad Boys II,” hands down.
C oach Traavis Chandler's best words of advice for me: “Dominate and take over.” Sometimes in a game when we do need a bucket, I just have to post hard, be big and dunk.
D inner on an ideal night: It's with my family and it's my mom LaTanya McBride's southern cooking. We're going mac and cheese, we've got to have some pork chops and some greens, corn bread, the whole nine. Sweet tea and everything.
E asiest and most difficult part about being 6-foot-10 off the court: The easiest thing is getting attention. I had a little kid come up to me in the mall and say, “Are you real?” I said, ‘Yeah little man, I'm real.' I love to see people's reactions. The most difficult thing is going places and trying to find beds. You have these hotel rooms with these itty-bitty beds, and I'm an extra large person.
F avorite thing about living in Starke: The love and support I get from my community.
G ame-winning dunk, jump shot, scoring off a post move or a game-saving blocked shot? A game-saving blocked shot. If somebody comes and tries to float it over your head, you have to go send that.
H oisting the national championship trophy at the end of the men's college basketball season will be ... Duke. Those boys look rough.
I nteresting thing about me away from basketball: I want to be a kindergarten teacher. I just love kids.
J oker on the team: Me. Especially when we go on trips, you don't want to go to sleep in my room before I do. I'm going to get you every time. I might pour ice down your shirt. I'm liable to just run and jump on you, just because I feel like it.
K obe Bryant or LeBron James? LeBron all day. He is a beast.
L east favorite Bradford basketball moment: Losing at Mount Dora in the regional quarterfinals last year.
M y pick to win Super Bowl XLVII is ... The Baltimore Ravens. Ray Lewis is hungry.
N ickname? To my friends, I'm Big J, and to my family, I'm Big Boo. My mom gave me that nickname.
O ne person in my life who inspires me most: My father, Dewayne McBride. He is just a great father. He is always there for me. I couldn't ask for a better pops.
P otential college major: Early Childhood Education.
Q uiet time activity: I study my Bible.
R egional finalists in 2011, regional quarterfinalists last season, the goal for this year's team is ... A state championship, hands down.
S hoe size: 18.
T imes when I was growing up, I was asked by coaches about playing football: Thousands of times. I played football my freshman year, and I hated it with a deep fiery passion. I just didn't like the conditions under which the sport was played.
U CF is the right place for me to continue my education and basketball career because ... Of the atmosphere. I just love Orlando. I love coach (Donnie) Jones. I just love UCF.
V acation spot I love: San Francisco.
W hat area players would I want to see in a four-person, one-on-one tournament and how it would go? I would play my teammate Deantre Burch, and I'd win 11-2. Isaiah Jackson of GHS would play Marcus Archer of Santa Fe, and that's going to be a nail-biter. I think Isaiah would win 11-10. I would then beat Isaiah 11-5. I'm just going to give him 5.
X box, PlayStation or Wii? Xbox 360. I like playing NBA 2K13.
Y ear I first dunked a basketball: It was in the sixth grade and I think I was 12. I was about 6-foot-1, 6-foot-2. It was after practice. I started running from half court, and I just went up and dunked it. That was crazy.
Z oo animal I like most: The lion. He is the boss. He runs everything.
