Ministry revival

Miracle Deliverance Ministries will host a one-night revival.

It will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at Highlands Presbyterian Church at 1001 NE 16th Ave.

The speakers will be Bishop Johnnie Straughter and Pastor Louvenia Straughter, both of Miracle Deliverance, which has churches in Gainesville and Valdosta.

Clergy seminar

New Horizon Outreach Ministries will host a domestic violence seminar.

It will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Jan 19 at the church at 127 NE 15th St. The free seminar is for clergy and lay leaders who want to get certified to use the Faith Community Domestic Violence Risk Assessment. Food and drinks will be served.

The seminar will be led by Tracey Hickmon, coordinator of the Empowered to Live the Life You Choose Rebuilding Program at the Gainesville Police Department for victims of domestic abuse.

Topics covered will include understanding domestic violence power and control issues and the consequences of failing to protect children from domestic violence.

Health fair

New Horizon Outreach Ministries will host a free health fair.

It will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the church at 127 NE 15th St.

It will feature health screenings for diabetes and high blood pressure and HIV/AIDS testing and counseling. There also will be free food and drinks.

New bishop

Williams Temple Church of God in Christ will host a welcoming service for Bishop Lamar Hall of Jacksonville, the new presiding bishop of the Central Florida First Jurisdiction of the Churches of God in Christ.

The service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church at 628 NW 7th Ave.

Concert

T.O.P.R.O.C. Assembly of Praise Ministries will host a concert featuring The Waltons of Gainesville.

The concert will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 20 at the church at 800 NW 40th Ave.

Founder's Day

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. will host its 93rd Founder's Day worship service.

It will be held at 9:45 a.m. Sunday at Powerhouse Family Worship Center at 7600 SW 24th Ave.

St. Paul Baptist

St. Paul Baptist Church will celebrate its 100th anniversary.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday at the church in Archer.

The church also will host an Expression of Love Program for Doris Livingston.

It will be held at 6 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Female Protective Society Temple at 12610 NW 39th Ave. in Gainesville.

Men's Day

Galilee Baptist Church will host its annual Men's Day observance.

Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18 and 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Jan. 20 at the church in Hawthorne.

The guest speakers will be: Jan. 18, the Rev. Clarence Woods of Trinity United Baptist Church in McMeekin in Putnam County, and Jan. 20, the Rev. Martin Smith of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Ocala.

Choir anniversary

Mount Nebo United Methodist Church will celebrate the 17th anniversary of its No. 2 Choir.
