Coldwell Banker M.M. Parrish Realtors promoted Michael Kitchens to president, the company announced Tuesday.
Kitchens will oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm’s residential and commercial real estate businesses and sales teams.
He reports to J. Parrish, who takes the title of CEO after serving as president of residential real estate.
The company is owned by J. Parrish, a fifth-generation company leader, his mother Susan Parrish, as well as Beau Beery and his father-in-law Todd Rainsberger. Beery and Rainsberger bought into the company in 2011 to boost commercial real estate operations.
“Mike Kitchens is one of the most universally respected people in local real estate,” J. Parrish said in a news release. “He offers extraordinary value to our sales team and our customers. We are fortunate to benefit from his tremendous experience and we look forward to many years of success under his outstanding leadership.”
Kitchens started his career with ERA Trend Realty as a sales associate from 1994 to 2001. He served as president of the Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors in 2000 at age 30. He then joined Bosshardt Realty Services and was promoted to executive vice president and managing broker in 2003.
He was hired by Coldwell Banker M.M. Parrish as executive vice president in May 2012 and brought 10 people with him from Bosshardt, he said.
His wife, Sherry Kitchens, is president and CEO of the Child Advocacy Center. They have two children.
