AAA: Price of gas could inch higher this week

The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline inched up a half a cent during the past week to $3.297 and could continue to rise slightly this week, according to AAA.

"Oil prices will likely remain between $90 and $95 a barrel in January, with gas prices inching up again this week," Jessica Brady, a spokeswoman for the auto club, said in a prepared statement.
"Although the average for the start of January was the highest on record, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) forecasts the annual average this year will be less than 2012's annual average of $3.60."
In Florida the average price rose by nearly four cents during the week to $3.394.
In Gainesville recent prices per gallon of regular ranged from $3.41 to $3.69, according to www.gasbuddy.com.
