No North Pole weather on Christmas week

A mild forecast is in store this holiday week, with temperatures ranging from the high 50s to the mid 70s.

Christmas Eve will pleasantly usher in the holiday with partly cloudy skies, lows in the high 40s and a high of 70 degrees.

Some patchy fog can be expected Christmas morning but will likely burn off as the sun rises. Showers are expected to roll into the area Tuesday night, but skies are likely to remain dry until after midnight.

A 50 percent chance of rain is expected Wednesday alongside lows in the mid 30s and highs in the high 60s. By Wednesday night, skies should clear up once again paving the way for a crisp Thursday.

Thursday will be sunny and dry with a high of 60 degrees and a low of 37. Friday will warm up slightly with a high of 66 and a low 46. Clouds are expected to roll back into the area on Friday.

A 40 percent chance of showers is expected Saturday with a high of 67 and low around 42. Sunday is expected to be sunny and cool with a high of 63.
