Cool morning temperatures and sunny skies

A beautiful day of sun and moderate temperatures in the forecast for North Central Florida, according to the National Weather Service.

The cool front that passed through has dropped humidity -- and no rain is expected. Today's high temperature is set to be 75 degrees with a low of 47 tonight.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 75. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the morning.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47. Light east wind.

Thursday: A slight chance of showers between noon and 3pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Breezy, with a south wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Thursday night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. Breezy, with a southwest wind 13 to 16 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 59.

Friday night: Clear, with a low around 31.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 62.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 34.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 65.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 37.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 68.

Monday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 41.

Christmas Day: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 70.
