ST. AUGUSTINE — Authorities in northeast Florida say they've identified a pedestrian struck and killed on Interstate 95 by a pickup truck as an Alaska woman
Florida Highway Patrol says Denise Ann Tatum was standing alongside or crossing the interstate in St. Augustine when the pickup hit her Wednesday evening. Tatum died at the scene. The driver and passenger in the truck, who were from Pennsylvania, were not injured.
FHP Sgt. Dylan Bryan says investigators identified Tatum by her fingerprints and tattoos. It was not clear why she was in Florida.
The crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
Authorities tell The St. Augustine Record (http://bit.ly/12ebvE1 ) that Tatum had a troubled history with police in Alaska. She variously listed her hometown as Homer or Anchorage, Alaska, or Colorado Springs, Colo.
