A woman was arrested for aggravated assault Saturday after threatening a neighbor with a rake and a butcher knife.

According to Gainesville Police, Teresa Jackson, 42, became engaged in an argument with another woman over how Jackson was dressed. According to police, Jackson was wearing only her underwear.

Police said Jackson pulled the woman’s shirt, and the other woman broke free of her grasp. Jackson then threw a lawn rake at the woman, missing her. Jackson grabbed a large butcher knife and moved toward the woman, pointing it at her and yelling that she was going to kill her.

The victim was uninjured by the knife but received a wound on her index finger during the initial struggle.

Police said the two women have a history of disputes. The victim told police that Jackson has been coming outside her home regularly without clothing.

Jackson was arrested at her home in the 3900 block of SW 17th Lane on a charge of aggravated assault.
