SCHOOL: Gainesville

YEAR: Senior

POSITION: Linebacker

HEIGHT: 6-foot-2

WEIGHT: 215 pounds

A rea football player I would pay to watch play: Sir Jackson (Eastside QB). He is my best friend. We've known each other since we were in diapers. His uncle (Terry Jackson) played with my dad (Keith Kelsey) at UF.

B est movie I've ever seen: “The Avengers.” It was just a good non-stop action movie with lots of excitement.

C oach James Thomson's best words of advice for me: “Stay focused, keep the team first and everything else will take care of itself.”

D ay of game, I do what to prepare myself?: Get focused, put on my iPod and put on 2Pac.

E arliest sports memory? Sixth grade when we won our first Pop Warner championship. Chris Thompson was on that team, too, and a couple of other teammates. We were the Baby Gators, and we beat DeLand.

F avorite type of music, song and artist: 2Pac, “Bomb First.”

G ainesville will win tonight and the following week for the state title because ... We play together as a team and we outwork everyone we play against.

H ardest thing about being the No. 1 team in the state and one of the top teams in the country ... Everyone trying to live up expectations, trying to live up to what others think, instead of just playing the game. We are doing a good job of that this season.

I nteresting thing about me away from football: I love to laugh and have fun. A lot of times people see me and think I'm big and mean. But I like to joke around and have fun.

J oker on the team: Me, Keon (Jenkins), Turtle (Juan Jenkins) and Larry (Prunty). We love to have fun, but when we are on the field we know it is time to play.

K ey to winning tonight's game at Navarre: Execute to the fullest and continue to do what we have been doing. Just play hard and stay together as a team.

L east favorite Gainesville High sports moment: When we lost to Armwood last year in the third round.

M ost difficult offense you have faced as a Hurricane: Madison County. They run the Wing-T, so you really have to be on your assignments. They have some pretty big, physical guys like we do.

N ickname? They call me “Bear.”

O ne person in my life who inspires me most: My mother, Yahna Young. She works so hard so that everyone in the household gets what they deserve.

P otential college major: Sports medicine.

Q uiet time activity? Go home, lay on the couch and watch ESPN SportsCenter.

R eading the newspaper or going online to get my high school sports coverage: I go online.

S uperstition I have: Always thank the Lord and my deceased grandmother 10 times before I play a football game.

T he thing that impresses me most about our team winning 13 straight games this season: Just the maturity level as a whole. Last year we weren't as mature as this year. That is a big part of our success. Sometimes we weren't focused last year.

U niversities or colleges considered: I really haven't focused on it a lot. Right now, UF, Louisville, South Florida and Ole Miss.

V acation spot I love: Wet 'n Wild in Orlando.

W ho will end up winning the BCS championship, Alabama or Notre Dame? Alabama because it is the bigger and more physical team.

X box, PlayStation or Wii?: Xbox. (I) play all sports games.

Y ear I was born: 1995.

Z oo animal I like most: Alligators. They are just so aggressive, and I've always liked watching them. My dad used to take me out to Lake Alice when I was little.
