Community members interested in learning more about and offering memories concerning the city’s old train depot and surrounding neighborhoods are invited to gather Saturday at the Depot Building, 201 SE Depot Ave.

From 9 a.m. until noon, members of the Gainesville Community Redevelopment Agency will be gathering information and encouraging discussions about the depot, nearby neighborhoods and businesses that developed because of the depot. Agency officials are encouraging attendees to bring photographs and memorabilia that will be scanned and documented.

The information gathered will be used in an interpretive museum space housed within the depot after rehabilitation of the building is completed.
