Two Gainesville women were arrested Thursday night on charges relating to stealing delivered packages from the front of homes, according to arrest reports from the Alachua County Sheriff's Office.
Charged with burglary, grand theft and petit theft were Lakeshia Shawntel Rolston, 23, and Nicole Houlker, 23.
Over the past several days the women took packages from the front doors of homes in an unincorporated area of southwest Gainesville off Archer Road, the reports state.
Houlker told investigators she would drive while Rolston would get the packages, the reports state. Rolston admitted taking the packages but said she acted alone.
Stolen items included a Keurig coffee machine, a Play It Again Polar Bear Duet and a Sony PlayStation console.
ASO spokesman Art Forgey said investigators were able to identify Rolston and Houlker as suspects based on a description of a suspicious car and by recovering some of the empty packages.
Forgey said the women would cruise through neighborhoods looking for packages.
