The Gainesville Police Department on Wednesday filed sworn battery complaints against two men after a road rage incident, police spokesman Officer Ben Tobias said.
Charged were Gilbert Sellers, 46, and Robert Moses, 65, following an incident that occurred about 1:15 p.m. at 900 SW 13th St., Tobias said.
The two argued in the roadway after one of them cut the other off in traffic, Officer Stephanie Pridgen reported. The argument escalated into a fight, and Sellers punched Moses one time, knocking him unconscious.
Moses was legally carrying a loaded handgun in his pocket that he didn’t use in the fight.
Sworn complaints were filed against both, but neither was arrested and jailed.
