A confrontation over some Facebook posts led to the arrest Tuesday of two women on robbery and battery charges, according to a Gainesville police arrest report.
Arrested were Sade Danielle Ferguson, 23, of 1107 SE 20th St.; and Shontae Arielle Wilson, 21, also of 1107 SE 20th St. Both were charged with robbery and battery.
The incident occurred about 1:38 p.m. at the Eden Park apartment complex at 1350 NE 39th Ave. The women went there to confront the victim over posts on Facebook, the arrest report states.
According to the report, the women confronted the victim in the parking lot and punched her repeatedly in the head and face with closed fists.
Ferguson and Wilson were taken into custody about 3:28 p.m. Ferguson refused to speak with police about the incident while Wilson admitted that she was involved in the battery and also that she stole money from the victim while the fight was under way, the report states.
Wilson showed police where she hid the money, but it was not at the location. Police reported Wilson told them the bills were in denominations of $100, $20 and $1.
