First half: The Gators did a great job moving the ball, but 13 points was close to the fewest amount of points they could get out of it.
Second half: Things weren’t going very well in the third quarter, but the Gators turned it on in the fourth with the running game.
For the game: The Gators reverted to the form of earlier in the season when the offensive line pushed defenses around.
First half: Two interceptions and a great defensive performance until that late EJ Manuel scramble gave the Seminoles some life.
Second half: The Antonio Morrison hit on Manuel changed the whole game, and the defense shook off some third-quarter issues.
For the game: Any time you get five turnovers, it’s a great day for the defense. Sharrif Floyd’s fourth-quarter sack was also huge.
Special teams B+
First half: Caleb Sturgis was perfect, and kickoff coverage team made a big play forcing and recovering a fumbled return.
Second half: A big Florida State punt return seemed to turn the game around, but the Gators responded with one of their own.
For the game: Special teams struggled at times with coverage, but still won the battle.
For this team to come to Tallahassee and face the adversity it faced and win going away was the perfect cap on this amazing regular season.
