Called “Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music,” Wednesday's special screening of the 1965 film starring Julie Andrews at the Phillips Center features subtitles so audience members can sing along — and a costume contest in which audience members dressed as their favorite characters will be invited onstage before the screening by emcee Storm Roberts.

Pianist Chucho Valdés, who co-founded the Cuban group Irakere (with Arturo Sandoval and Paquito D'Rivera), and became a seminal figure of Latin jazz, performs Friday at University Auditorium with his quintet.

Cellist David Finckel and pianist Wu Han — named Musical America's 2012 Musicians of the Year, and described by The New York Times as “exploratory artists who have thought outside of the box” — perform Sunday at University Auditorium.
