Update: EBT system is working again

(Update) The system was back online at 1 p.m., according the Florida Department of Children and Families.

EBT recipients are again able to use their cards.

DCF: EBT system down because of JPMorgan outage

Florida Electronic Benefit Transfer card holders were not able to use their cards Friday because of technological issues at JPMorgan Chase, the Florida Department of Children and Families announced.

The EBT cards provide cash and food assistance. While the system is down, stores can choose to run a manual processing of up to $40. Wal-Mart stores can process manual transactions of up to $100.
