Bicyclist injured in crash at 13th Street S and Archer Road

A bicyclist was injured in a collision with a vehicle that has snarled traffic at the intersection of Southwest 13th Street and Archer Road, according to Gainesville Police.

The male bicyclist, whose identity was not released, was taken to the hospital with what police at the scene described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. when the bike and a Chevrolet Trailblazer collided at the busy intersection. No other injuries were reported.

By 6 p.m., police had reopened all lanes on 13th Street, but one lane of Southwest 9th Road remained closed.

A tow truck was on scene at 5:50 p.m. to remove the Trailblazer from the street.
