The Abundant Life Breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Spirit of Faith Christian Center East Campus at 1414 NE 23rd Ave. The cost is $45, and it is open to the public. However, space is limited, and those interested in attending must register by Friday by calling 352-505-0192, ext. 3.

Jason Hurst, business manager at Spirit of Faith, said Harrison will talk about how people can live an abundant life. Harrison is the founder of Harrison International Seminars in Tulsa, Okla., which produces and distributes CDs, DVDs and books.

"He really has some tools and terms that he's been able to capitalize on in the financial realm that are biblically based and can work for anybody who applies them," said Hurst. "Basically, he's an advocate for helping people learn how to live and walk in abundance."

Hurst said Harrison began his ministry more than 20 years ago after successfully turning his car dealership around in California. Hurst said that led Harrison to sell more than 1 million audio tapes titled "Message of Increase," which deals with helping people change their mindset and core beliefs so they can live better lives financially, physically and spiritually.

Pastor Ken Claytor of Spirit of Faith said the breakfast is designed to help business owners learn how to be as competitive as possible.

"These quarterly events are designed to allow Christian businesses to come into a thriving business atmosphere whereby they can build valuable business contacts, share inspiring business ideas, cultivate business relationships and gather valuable information that will cause their businesses to expand," Claytor said.

Claytor said those who attend the breakfast will hear from a "world-renowned financial specialist" who has shared stages with the likes of former U.S. Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell and comedian Bill Cosby.

Hurst said in addition to hearing from Harrison, those attending will be able to network with other business owners who may be able to help each other's businesses grow.

"It will also be a forum where people will be able to get information about how to help their businesses increase their bottom line, help expand their businesses, and hopefully, help locally owned businesses expand nationally and around the world," Hurst said.

Hurst said although the breakfast will surely have Christian undertones, people of all faiths are welcome.

"We just want people to come out and hear Mr. Harrison and also share their experiences with others," Hurst said.

Hurs, who said about 20 percent of the Spirit of Faith members are business owners, said the church will like to see that number grow within and beyond its four walls.

"We believe that people who will come and be in this atmosphere will have an encounter with God that will cause their life to change," Hurst said. "Eventually, we want to have more Christian-owned businesses in the city."
