For the second game in a row, the Florida Gators will be without starting kick and punt returner Andre Debose.

Debose hyper-extended a knee the Thursday before the Missouri game and has not been able to practice this week, UF coach Will Muschamp said.

“He hasn’t been able to get back into action,” Muschamp said.

Muschamp said backup tailback Mack Brown and defensive tackle Leon Orr also will miss Saturday’s game against Louisiana-Lafayette.

Brown sprained his ankle in the Missouri game, while Orr missed last week’s game with the flu.

“Leon Orr has missed some time with an illness and is working his way back into shape,” Muschamp said.

Other than Debose, Brown and Orr, the Gators will be close to 100 percent for the Ragin’ Cajuns.

Offensive tackle Xavier Nixon returned to practice Tuesday after missing the Missouri game with an injured knee. Two other starting linemen who were injured in the Missouri game — guards James Wilson and Jon Halapio — also returned to practice earlier this week and will play in Saturday’s game.
