Homecoming parade will be televised live

Public television station WUFT-TV will present live coverage of the 2012 University of Florida homecoming parade beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
The parade which kicks off at noon, can also be seen via streaming video at http://www.wuft.org/live.
UF telecommunication students will serve as emcees for the two-hour broadcast. Immediately preceding the broadcast at 11:30 a.m., WUFT will air a special collection of videos highlighting UF accomplishments and campus events and activities.
UF's 89th homecoming parade will feature Medal of Honor recipient Duane Dewey as grand marshal.
A rebroadcast of the parade is scheduled for Monday at noon on WUFT (Cox Cable channel 3 in Gainesville).
