The picks anticipate craziness down the stretch

We are in the final month of the college football regular season and you know what that means.
Chaos. Mass hysteria. Pandemonium. Bedlam. Kardashians and Real Housewives living together.
You may think you know who will be in the BCS Championship Game, but you only think you know. Because you know that I know that you know that I know what you know.
Got a headache yet?
Craziness is coming because it always does this time of year. You try to figure out what will happen if X, Y and Z happen, and it just gets you confused. For example, there are five SEC teams in the BCS top eight. Is it possible for two SEC teams to again meet for the national championship?
Anything is possible. For example, who would have dreamed that Dr. Football would be 67-23 at this point of the season?
OK, so The Picks missed on the Gators last week. How was I to know they'd pick last week to play like the Braves in the playoffs?
MISSOURI AT FLORIDA: I don't think anyone has any idea about the mindset of this Gator team after last week's deflating loss. The “we'll be fine” line that Will Muschamp loves to use may or may not be true. If these guys need to be fired up, let me help. If you win this game, it will make Georgia unhappy. There. You're welcome. Florida, 27-17.
ALABAMA AT LSU: Nick Saban was asked this week what he thought of the view that he is “curmudgeonly” and proceeded to give a long answer about how he wasn't and wasn't happy with the question. Curmudgeon. Alabama, 24-17.
TEXAS A&M AT MISSISSIPPI STATE: It's a little tougher in the second half of the season for the Bulldogs. Texas A&M, 34-21.
VANDERBILT AT KENTUCKY: This is a big game for the Commodores if they want to become bowl eligible. It's been awhile since Kentucky had a big game in football. Vandy, 21-12.
OLE MISS AT GEORGIA: I know, Gator fans, you want to believe. But this is why you started the season at a disadvantage — because a computer spit out a favorable schedule for the Bulldogs. You never want to have your Atlanta hopes resting on Ole Miss. Georgia, 34-23.
OREGON AT SOUTHERN CAL: I just don't think USC will be able to slow down the Ducks. Oregon, 43-32.
TEXAS AT TEXAS TECH: I know this will have an impact on bowl games at the end of the year, I just don't know all of the Big 12 bowl affiliations. Texas, 34-27.
NEBRASKA AT MICHIGAN STATE: One of those rare cases where Michigan fans will be rooting for Sparty. Nebraska, 23-20.
PITT AT NOTRE DAME: The Panthers have it going in the right direction. Until Saturday. Notre Dame, 30-17.
OKLAHOMA STATE AT KANSAS STATE: The Cowboys defense has come around the last three weeks. Don't do it, Dr. Football. Oklahoma State, 34-31.
