Marihelen Wheeler: Morey is credible and honorable
Andrew Morey, Democratic candidate for Florida House District 21, is the fresh face of politics and represents the hope of many of us that our government might still respond to needs of the people. I admire the courage he has shown in stepping forward to face the Republican candidate who is currently being financed by the same machine that elected our current governor.
Andrew is a young man with honor and dignity and is well prepared to handle the requirements of the position of State Representative. He has been falsely portrayed as one who would raise taxes and jeopardize the middle class family's ability to own a home. The TV ads are false and I urge voters to go to Andrew Morey's website to get the truth behind Andrew's true mission in his bid for the State House. The Morey campaign is credible and honorable and I urge voters to contact Andrew with concerns and issues you might have and then vote this young Democrat to be the representative needed for District 21.
Eileen M. Maren: Obama hopes people will forget
Yesterday I saw on the internet a picture of Obama in the situation room looking concerned about the storm in the northeast and its devastation, but I must have missed his photo op in the same room during the seven hour massacre of our Americans in our consulate in Libya.
Apparently they are still investigating their own cover-up and how to explain it away or hope the American people will forget at the polls. They also hope we won't remember Obama's speech in 2009 saying American was divisive and arrogant. His bowing to heads of state. Let we also forget his assault on the Catholic Church and Christian communities. Vote wisely
Eileen M. Maren,
Boyd Rasmussen: Blame the Republicans for debt, deficit
Folks, don't forget where most of our present debt and deficit came from, two unfunded Republican generated wars and an unfunded Republican tax cut ( Bush tax cuts). Without these deficits the stimulus would never have been necessary and additional deficit would never have occurred. The worry for our children and grand children's future's falls on the Republicans, not President Obama and the Democrats.
