Five questions with Missouri junior quarterback James Franklin
Q: Florida is coming off a heartbreaking loss last week. What kind of atmosphere do you expect in your first game in The Swamp this week?
A: Well I hope that everyone will be down and that maybe nobody will come out? Just kidding, I know it will be a really exciting place to play. If you're a competitor, it's the kind of challenge you want to test yourself in, so I'm looking forward to it.
Q: What stands out to you about the Gators when watching them on film?
A: Speed. They're definitely one of the fastest and quickest defenses we'll have seen this year, no question about it.
Q: What's the mind-set of the team after picking up the team's first SEC win over Kentucky last week?
A: Excited about our win last week. Looking forward to a chance to play in The Swamp. You hear a lot about it being one of the best places to play in the country.
Q: What has stood out to you in your first season in the SEC?
A: Certainly for me, it's been a very physical league, but that isn't a surprise. We expected that coming in.
Q: Missouri leads the nation in forced fumbles. How has the defense been so successful doing that?
A: Our defense has been amazing this year. I certainly can't speak for them, but what I do know is that they work really hard at getting the ball out every day in practice. I hope they can keep it going. The offense sure benefits from it.
