The University of Florida’s public radio stations raised nearly $176,000 in their recently completed fall pledge drive.

UF announced Tuesday that the pledge drive for WUFT-FM and WJUF-FM was the most successful listener membership campaign in the history of the stations.

The drive, which ran from Oct. 8-19, had a goal of $175,000. It received 1,300 pledges totaling $175,982.68, according to the stations.

The figure beat the $161,664.50 raised in the fall 2011 pledge drive.

This fall’s drive brought in 747 new donors, 335 renewals and 215 members who increased their original gift amount, according to the stations.
