A Live Oak man was killed Monday morning and three others were injured in a three-vehicle accident on U.S. 90 in Suwannee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
John Charles Fuhrmann, 54, was traveling east on the highway approaching 159th Road at around 7 a.m. when his 1996 Ford Escort struck the rear of a 2004 Nissan Maxima that was stopped on U.S. 90 waiting to turn left onto 159th Road, the FHP reported.
Fuhrmann’s vehicle spun into the westbound lane and collided with a 1997 Mercury Marquis being driven by Gregory Thomas Jones, 25, of Live Oak.
Fuhrmann was pronounced dead at Shands at Live Oak Hospital. The driver of the Nissan, Shayla Weaver, 19, of Live Oak, received minor injuries, as did Jones and his passenger, Victor Jones, 29, of Live Oak. All three were treated at Shands at Live Oak, the report stated.
