Five questions with Georgia sophomore inside linebacker Amarlo Herrera
Q: What has stood out to you about Jeff Driskel and Mike Gillislee in the running game from watching them on tape?
A: There are a lot of things that jump out to me about these guys. They are both fast and have the potential to make big plays. Both (Driskel) and (Gillislee) also have the ability to make people miss when they try to bring them down.
Q: You've only experienced this rivalry once, but what makes Florida-Georgia different than others?
A: It is a big game for both of us because we don't like them and they don't like us and because every year they want to beat us as badly as we want to beat them.
Q: Given the fact that a trip to Atlanta is on the line, what type of game are you expecting this Saturday?
A: I'm expecting an all-out battle because both teams know what is on the line.
Q: You're second on the team in tackles. Have you taken a leadership role on the unit as a sophomore?
A: I have not tried to take a leadership role this season. I just go and play and practice as hard as I can. We have great leaders on this team and I do my best to follow their lead.
Q: What is it like playing alongside a talented linebacker like Jarvis Jones?
A: It's great to play alongside a player like Jarvis Jones because he is a great leader on and off the field and he's an exceptional player. We know when we line up that Jarvis is going to give it his all each and every play. Like he says, “You never know when it'll be your last.”
