Society recognizes Edward C. Ellett

The Society of Certified Counselors, a national insurance professional organization, recently recognized Edward C. Ellett, of Ellett Insurance PL, with a certificate for his more than 25 years participating as a designated certified insurance counselor. Such designation requires annual completion of advanced education and training.
The Thomas S. Johnson Master of Science in Entrepreneurship Program at the Hough Graduate School of Business at the Warrington College of Business Administration was recognized by the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers with the 2012 Excellence in Specialty Entrepreneurship Education award. Launched as one of the first specialized entrepreneurship programs of its kind, the collegiate program fuses a diverse curriculum with immersive experiential learning opportunities that exposes participatingstudents to cutting-edge entrepreneurial theory.
The North Central Florida chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association, a national nonprofit organization that serves the construction industry’s financial professionals, will host its first meeting on Nov. 7. Associate members include professionals in the accounting, insurance, surety, software, legal and banking industries, as well as other specialists who serve the construction industry.
Quality DesignWorks, a local design-build and remodeling company, announced its recent hire of Bob Amar as a kitchen and bath designer. Amar, a graduate of Indiana University and member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association, brings more than seven years of training and experience to the company.
Bosshardt Realty Services LLC announced the newest additions to its sales team. New hires include Tammie Rowe, Malcom Askew and Teresa Hoffman.
Gainesville Pet Sitter, a new local business owned and run by Julie Wright, specializes in elderly and medication-dependent pets. Wright offers transportation of pets to veterinary, grooming and boarding facility appointments. In addition, Gainesville Pet Sitter offers services to elderly and disabled pet owners on a donation-only basis.
