First half: Gators struggled to get started, but Jeff Driskel's 92 yards of rushing helped Florida to 144 rushing yards.
Second half: Florida was never able to establish the passing game and the conservative play calls in the red zone made it tough to score.
For the game: Driskel's runs really were the reason Florida was able to pull this game out.
First half: There were some shaky plays in the secondary, but the Gators limited the Commodores to 94 total yards.
Second half: Florida was gashed on Vandy's first drive and struggled to slow down the Commodores in the second half.
For the game: While the defense made some big plays, this was probably the worst defensive effort of the season. Some of it can be attributed to all of the injuries.
Special teams A+
First half: Good coverage on the one kickoff that was returned, but Florida gave up an 11-yard return on a punt, which tied for the longest this season.
Second half: The special teams have been kind of quiet this year, but the blocked field goal and fake punt were huge for the Gators.
For the game: And then there was the kickoff return by Andre Debose. And the two-point conversion. Special teams were indeed special.
The Gators got the win, even if there were some anxious moments. It will be interesting to see where they go from here with injury issues.
