Tickets for "Elvis Lives -- The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Event," as well as a duo performance by Chick Corea and Béla Fleck, go on sale at noon Friday for concerts at the Phillips Center on Jan. 12 and March 20, 2013, respectively.
Tickets are $25 to $45, and $10 for UF students for "Elvis Lives," a production featuring multiple Elvis performers; and $25 to $50, $15 for UF students, for the concert teaming Corea, the revered jazz pianist, with Fleck, the renowned jazz banjoist.
"Elvis Lives" is a large-scale, multimedia production featuring finalists from the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest who portray Elvis Presley at different stages of the singer's career.
Corea, the longtime jazz bandleader and accomplished soloist, is known for his work as both the founder of the fusion band Return to Forever as well as for performances with artists as varied as Miles Davis, with whom he played on the latter's seminal "Bitches Brew" album in 1970, and with Fleck, with whom Corea recorded the 2007 album, "The Enchantment."
Tickets for each 7:30 p.m. performance will be available through the Phillips Center Box Office, the University Box Office and through Ticketmaster.com. Tickets also can be purchased over the phone at 392-ARTS (2787) or at 800-905-ARTS.
