Morning fog and afternoon rain are the call of the day as unstable air high in the sky continues a pattern of warm, muggy October weather, according to the National Weather Service.

A 50 percent chance of rain is forecast, with most of it expected in the afternoon. The chance of rain should ease somewhat for Saturday's showdown in the Swamp, when the University of Florida football team takes on Louisiana State University.

Sunday and the Monday Columbus Day holiday should be much drier.
