LAKE CITY — Big nights from a pair of senior running backs helped Columbia pick up a big district win.

Ronald Timmons rushed for 240 yards and three touchdowns, and Braxton Stockton added a 46-yard TD run in the third quarter, lifting host Columbia (5-1, 2-0 4-6A) to a 52-17 win over Orange Park Ridgeview (5-1, 1-1 4-6A).

Timmons scored on TD runs of 70, 14 and 50 yards. Overall, Columbia finished with 418 yards rushing on 37 carries.

The start of the game was delayed 80 minutes due to unexpected traffic that Ridgeview experienced because of an accident on I-10.

Columbia led 21-10 at the half and scored 24 straight points to close out the game.
