Jeff Feller has been promoted to chief executive officer of WellFlorida Council Inc., a Gainesville nonprofit. Feller has more than 16 years of service with the organization, including the roles of associate planner and chief operations officer.
Feller also is adjunct faculty at the University of Florida in the Department of Health Services Research Management and Policy, College of Public Health and Health Professions.
The Florida Association of Chamber Professionals named Sonia Douglas as its new chairwoman for the upcoming year at the association’s annual fall conference.
Douglas now serves as the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce vice president and chief operating officer. Under Douglas, the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce is now recognized as a five-star Chamber, putting it in the top 1 percent of chambers nationwide.
John D. Jopling, Carl B. Schwait and Ellen R. Gershow, attorneys at Dell Graham, P.A., have been named to the Florida Super Lawyers list, which is a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Bealls Outlet in Starke is opening and relocating with its newest store in the Deerfoot Village on Friday, Oct. 12. The new 25,500-square-foot store replaces a 15,000-square-foot site located in Bradford Square. The new store is located at 1371 S. Walnut St., Starke. A grand opening celebration will kick off on Oct. 12.
Raphael Konforti, personal trainer and group fitness instructor at the University of Florida, was selected as part of MyGroupFit’s team of 18 correspondents, who will provide written and video content over the next year for MyGroupFit.com — an online resource for group fitness professionals.
Konforti will be representing Florida as a fitness expert and regional reporter and will contribute regularly to the website’s blog.
Cox Communications announced the hiring of Raul Martinez as media consultant for its advertising division in the Central Florida office.
Martinez, who earned his bachelor of science in business administration and marketing from the University of West Florida, previously served as a research analyst in the Marketing and Client Solutions department at Cox’s Gulf Coast office.
Lynetta Usher Griner, a generational logger and landowner from Chiefland, was elected president of the Florida Forestry Association. Griner is the first woman to serve as president in the association’s 90-year history.
