The SEC games worth keeping an eye on this week
No. 5 Georgia has scored five TDs from at least 29 yards away. That's not good news for Tennessee, which gave up four plays of 30 or more yards in the last 18 1/2 minutes against Florida. It also allowed a 70-yard TD run to Akron last week. Auburn is the only team giving up more yards per rush than the Vols (4.6), and the Bulldogs lead the SEC in yards per carry (6.0). Not good.
It's hard to imagine Arkansas was ranked in the top 10 heading into Week 2. Now it looks questionable that the Hogs (1-3) will play in a bowl game. They visit Texas A&M this week, which will be hungry for its first SEC win after losing its debut 20-17 at home against Florida.
Ole Miss comes into this game leading the SEC in rushing with 259.8 yards per game, but Alabama is only allowing 62.2 on the ground, which is the sixth fewest in the country. While the Tide ground game hasn't been as dominant as it's been in recent years, junior QB AJ McCarron has been as steady as can be, throwing 10 touchdowns with no picks.
