Florida junior center Patric Young was cleared to return to individual drills on Wednesday after a three-week bout with mononucleosis.

The 6-foot-9, 247-pound Young should be fine when Florida opens full practice on Oct. 13.

Young started 32 of 37 games for the Gators last season, averaging 10.2 points and 6.4 rebounds.

Florida plays its first exhibition game Nov. 1 against Nebraska-Kearney in the O'Connell Center. The Gators will open the regular season against Georgetown on Nov. 9 in the Navy/Marine Corps Classic at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville on the deck of the USS Bataan.
