Jeff Davis is the Founder and Senior Partner of Falcon Financial Management, Inc. (FFM). He moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida (UF) in 1971 and was a wrestler on the UF Wrestling Team from 1971 to 1975. He was team captain of the UF team in 1975 when they went undefeated and became the SEC Champions. After he graduated in 1975 he became an assistant wrestling coach for the UF team from 1975 to 1979. Jeff graduated with a degree in journalism, but he had a passion for finance and wanted to help people manage their finances. After leaving the UF team he went into business with the late Jack McGriff of McGriff-Williams Insurance where he and Mr. McGriff developed a financial advisory arm of the insurance firm.

After many years in business, Jeff started FFM in January of 1994. He was among the first 40,000 financial advisors to become a Certified Financial Planner and paved the way for fee-based financial planning in Gainesville. He won awards for his groundbreaking Integrated Wealth Management Processä. He is also known for his popular Saturday morning radio show on WSKY called Dollars & Sense where he helps people by giving advice and answering questions.
Jeff is currently working closely with UF on the Florida Master Money Mentor and Florida $aves Programs that are just being developed. He will provide internship opportunities for aspiring UF students wishing to enter into the financial advisor field.
With his love for the city of Gainesville Jeff created a wrestling team for the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of Alachua County in 1993. He has coached and mentored many young men and for his work with the Club he was awarded Alachua County’s Volunteer of the Year Award. He is also very active with the Gainesville High School’s Wrestling Program and has mentored many young students there.
He has also been involved in the community by sitting on different non-profit organizations like St. Francis House, Hospice, and he is currently an active member of the Board of Directors of the Catholic Charities Board. As such, he is on the finance council and also participates in many of their outreach programs in the community. He is also involved with the North Central Florida Estate Planning Council.
Jeff’s business employs six full-time employees with one of them being his daughter who is a recent graduate of the University of Florida Family, Youth, & Community Sciences Family Financial Planning Program. She hopes to one day carry on her father’s legacy. He is actively helping people with the management of their wealth and their plans for retirement. He has been closely connected with the University of Florida and is soon to be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame for his time with the wrestling team. He is a great boss and a wonderful, caring person who does his best every day to help people overcome the tribulations of our daily lives and the economic ups and downs.
