Storm Roberts: Spirit of Gainesville nominee

<p>When you think of "Community Service" you can't help but think about Storm Roberts. For the past 25 years, Storm Roberts has given his time to dozens of non-profit organizations and causes. He has raised millions of dollars for Shands Children's Hospital, the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation (where he serves as a board member), The American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Stop! Children's Cancer (board member), The Alzheimer's Association, Phillips Center for the Performing Arts (emeritus Board member). Animals, children, service organizations too numerous to mention have benefited from his skills as MC/Auctioneer/Host at various community events. </p><p>The Spirit of Gainesville awards categories describe Community Service as: "A volunteer whose unselfish devotion of time and energy improves the lives of others", this person is Storm Roberts. </p><p><i>Submitted by Chris Wells</i></p>
