Beyond the fabulous job she does as our Sheriff, Sadie Darnell gives her time and dollars to tirelessly support the needs of citizens in our community. As the founding chair of the Alachua County Children's Alliance, and current board member, Sadie's vision of improvement for children and families in our community has been steadfast since the group's inception over four years ago. Sadie gives dozens of hours each month in service to the nonprofit community through the board of director and other volunteer roles in which she serves. She is a tireless advocate for those without a voice and is involved with dozens of charitable groups. Her leadership increases protection for the most vulnerable in our community through innovative engagement such as implementation of the LAP (Domestic Violence Lethality Program), Crisis Intervention Training for her team at ASO and many others.
