The GCM serves a target population of very-low-income families and individuals, as well as the \"working poor\" who are vulnerable to homelessness as the result of crises in health, family structure, or employment.
Further, on Sept. 15, 2011, she began to give two evenings per month, four hours each visit, of dental hygiene volunteering for We Care Physician Referral Network, Alachua County Medical Society Foundation, Inc. Program. This program, performed at Santa Fe College, also serves community members who could not otherwise afford dental hygiene care.
Galina has volunteered over 460 hours and cleaned the teeth of over 350 Gainesville citizens who couldn’t otherwise afford preventive dental care. Beginning this fall, she plans to begin again giving time to these worthwhile community organizations.
