Out of more than 93,117 attorneys, only four have been designated Board Certified by the Florida Supreme Court as expert in both Civil and Criminal Trial Law and one of those four is Gainesville's own Robert Rush. He has been in practice since 1985 and opened up his own office in 1988 which now employs four other attorneys. For more than 10 years Mr. Rush has taught Trial Practice at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. In addition, he coached the College of Law's Trial Team throughout the 1990's until he turned that coaching over to another attorney with the "Rush and Glassman" team. Robert served as Governor for the Florida Bar Board of Governors representing the Eighth Judicial Circuit from 1999-2005. He also served on the Florida Bar's Executive Committee. When not practicing law, Robert is active in the Gainesville community. He has completely restored five historic houses in downtown Gainesville, one of which is the current "Rush and Glassman" law firm. Alachua County has been Mr. Rush's home for the past 34 years. He served 12 years on the Volunteer Center Board of Alachua County, including serving as president. Mr. Rush is always coming up with new ideas to make this community a better place to live. He is currently working on a business that is expected to be opening in late October that will surely create more jobs in the Gainesville Community and boost our economy.
