Yeni Monroy truly embodies the entrepreneurship spirit. Originally from Colombia, Yeni (legally) came to the USA and worked as a micro-biologist. Deciding to follow her dream, she started Dream Day Cakes-- a bakery in NW Gainesville.

Since 2010, Yeni Monroy has been creating custom cakes and giving back to the community. Her bakery has worked with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Tyler's Hope, Child Advocacy Center, City of Gainesville, Boys/Girls Club, Girl's Place, American Heart Association, and more.

In just 2 years, she was selected as one of the 3 Florida representatives for Cake Central's "Cakes across America," as well as featured in their national magazine.

Her bakery provides employment, revenue, and community support to the area and she herself is a great example of hard work accomplishing the American Dream.
